One day we saw two sets of moms and babies - and they were cute!!
First we saw a group of 5 elephants, including this very little guy.
He could walk right under his mom's belly, which is where little elephants go to get out of the bright sun and avoid sunburns.
This tiny monkey was hanging out on a log.
And this adult giraffe was so tall that his head came out above the acacia tree.
But nearby were 2 young giraffes. One was nibbling on leaves -
and this one was resting on the ground. This was the only giraffe we ever saw laying down! Sandra very kindly let me use their telephoto lens to get this closeup (thanks, S!).
I still have a few things to share about Samburu - I promise we will move on to a new location soon!
