We were amazed at the sheer numbers of animals we saw in the Mara. There were herds everywhere!
Thompson's gazelles
zebras
elephants
and most impresssive - the wildebeests
The abundance of mammals in East Africa is unrivaled anywhere in the world! It was mind boggling!
The wildebeest herd is huge. How long did you sit and watch each group? Did you see any of them together?
